About the Role:
Reporting to a senior corporate finance leader, this position oversees the day-to-day financial operations and analytical activities of a key business unit. The role combines financial reporting, budgeting, month-end oversight, and process improvement, while partnering closely with both internal teams and external advisors.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead financial analysis, variance reviews, and KPI tracking to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee core accounting operations including AP, AR, GL activity, and treasury tasks.
- Guide revenue recognition practices and ensure consistent accounting policies across business units.
- Support cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate audit deliverables and assist with external auditor requests.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with operational leaders.
- Identify process improvements across the close cycle, reporting, and systems.
- Optimize the use of financial systems by standardizing accounts and automating reporting.
- Mentor junior finance team members and support their development.
What You Bring:
- University degree in business, finance, or accounting; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally including public-company or multi-entity exposure.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, and controls.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or technology-driven environments is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
