About the Role:

The IT Administrator - Information Security Officer is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the banks IT infrastructure and cybersecurity programs. This role oversees daily IT operations, ensures regulatory compliance, promotes a strong culture of security awareness, and aligns technology initiatives with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic IT Leadership

  • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that align with the banks goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate current technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and performance.

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee daily operations of the IT department, including network administration, systems management, help desk support, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes for hardware, software, and system access.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including inventory, procurement, and lifecycle management.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Implement and monitor security measures to ensure data integrity, protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk evaluations.
  • Monitor systems for potential threats and respond to security incidents promptly.

Policy, Compliance & Audits

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT and security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Lead internal and external IT/security audits and examinations; implement feedback and corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks.



Training & Awareness

  • Promote a culture of IT and cybersecurity awareness across all departments.
  • Coordinate and deliver training to employees on secure technology practices and compliance protocols.



Vendor Management

  • Oversee relationships with external technology vendors, including evaluation, onboarding, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management.



Reporting & Communication

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure IT and security requirements are integrated into business processes and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular IT and cybersecurity reports to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, network/system administration, or cybersecurity desired.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing IT teams and projects.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance.
  • Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
